About Building with David

About David and Brandy Von Holten

Living on our 100-year-old homestead, Von Holten Ranch, which was voted Missouri's Best Ranch, has required Building With David to diversify into four separate Custom Building categories: Furniture, Homesteading Structure, Equine Obstacles, and Signs.

Furniture building has been not only a passion but a necessity for David. A penny saved is a penny earned. David has built every house he's lived in for his adult life.

Homesteading Structures have allowed us to live off the land and provide resources for food, i.e. bee swarm boxes, gardening beds, high tunnels, chicken coops.  This way of life has given us more independence through self-sufficiency and healthier food sources at a fraction of the cost.

Being at the forefront of the equine industry, David has built various amounts of horse obstacles. Depending upon your preference, David can either teach you how to build your own equine obstacles or build one for you.

Our signs started with us being in the wedding and equine industry but have expanded since then, and now we create signs for all occasions.

Signs have always been a hit. Whether our clients are searching for the perfect wedding or birthday gift, or decorating their house or barn, signs are always a great sentiment.
